The Story

Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Red Sea, Castle Zaman is a one-of-a-kind destination where slow food meets ancient atmosphere. Founded over 20 years ago by Hani, and joined 15 years ago by his partner Lucy, this hand-built stone castle was created with love, vision, and respect for the land around it.

Castle Zaman is not a resort. It’s not a pool club. It’s a space for those who want to slow down, eat well, and enjoy the view without noise or pressure. Every detail—from the furniture to the menu—is crafted to reflect a slower, more intentional pace of life.

Why It’s Ecological

Castle Zaman is built entirely from natural stone and local materials, blending into the mountain rather than disrupting it.
There’s no chlorine pool here—just a chemical-free, aesthetic pond filled with irrigation water.
The kitchen sources ingredients locally whenever possible and avoids excess waste.
Guests are encouraged to come with presence and leave no trace.

This is slow hospitality rooted in sustainability, not convenience.

What You Can Do Here

Castle Zaman is not a day-use facility. It’s a slow food restaurant, offering an extended culinary experience in a spectacular setting.

What to Expect:

  • A peaceful, adults-only atmosphere (minimum age 16)
  • Optional dip in the artificial pond (see house rules below)

Facilities & Practical Info

  • No outside food or beverages allowed
  • No large male-only groups (mixed-gender or families only)
  • The pond is not a swimming pool; dipping is allowed only in standard swimsuits (no body suits, rash guards, or other clothing)
  • No lifeguard on duty — dipping is at your own risk
  • No loud music or disruptive behavior
  • No drug use of any kind
  • Open from 12:00 to 19:00
